Common Marmoset

I am a Veterinary Technician and that is where I had my first exposure to these wonderful creatures. It was love at first site. Although I had no intention of owning one to start with. We had a client come in who bred common marmosets. She fell ill with a cold, and came in to pick up some surgical masks so as not to expose her babies to her sickness. In talking to her I ended up being the "Monkey-sitter" during her illness. I fell in love with these exquisite little creatures and could not think of letting them go to someone else, so I ended up purchasing BOTH babies. My monkeys are now 2 years old and I have the luxury of working in my home so I am able to spend the necessary time with them. (They do demand plenty of it, but I am happy to give.) I thoroughly enjoy my babies, but do agree not everyone has the time or energy to commit to this kind of animal.
