marmoset diet and treats
"Primatestore.com, everything for primate and primate owners"

This site is about Marmosets (Callithrix/Cebuella), a small monkey that live in trees . Marmosets smell, they use their scent glands for communication. This makes it possible to identify themselves to each other. They have been kept by people as pets for several years but (unfortunately) a lot of the common marmosets are also used for medical research. On this site you will find all the information you need to know about keeping marmosets in captivity.

"Correct food, in proper and suitable amounts, together with regular feeding, is an all-important factor in keeping primates in good condition. It is impossible to overstress the importance of food. Incorrect food is a common cause of problems and disease..."

Marmosets and bushbabies are gum feeders. They need the gum in the wild to get the right phosphorus/calcium ratio but they also need it in captivy. Create your own gum to keep them healthy !!!
